Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account info — name, email, and avatar from your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub).
• Snippets — code, titles, descriptions, tags, and language you save.
• Embeddings — vector representations of your snippets, generated via Mistral, used to power semantic search.
• Basic usage data — request logs and errors needed to run the service.

2. How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate Snippet: authenticating you, storing and searching your snippets, and improving reliability. We do not sell your data and we don't use snippet contents to train models.

3. Where it lives

Snippet data and account info are stored in Supabase (Postgres + pgvector) hosted in the EU. Embeddings are generated by Mistral (EU-based). OAuth providers (Google, GitHub) see only what their consent screens describe.

4. Your rights

You can delete any snippet at any time, sign out of any session, or request full account deletion by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your snippets and embeddings.

5. Cookies

Snippet uses essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session). No third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
